So, I've my own web journal. What shall I write? heh, isn't that the question all writers ask? At the moment, I am working on a short story called "Midnight Dreary" for a film project. I'll write another one as well for this movie "anthology."

I showed another independent filmmaker my short story, "The Ovid Project," and he thinks it would translate well to film. Hopefully these media opportunities pan out! I've my eyes set on Hollyweird and will eventually take a stab at scriptwriting. Any agents feel free to contact me! My second novel would make a great movie: think HELLRAISER meets PROPHECY. Yeah, sweet.
Very few modern horror movies impress me. I suppose growing up with the classics has tainted my opinion, but a lot of directors and writers forget a thing called "atmosphere" and "element of surprise." Not to mention getting the details of gore correct: say, as in "Hostel," where the eyeball pops out whole without a burn or blister after being blowtorched. Right. I do like the gore in "Saw" though--brutal! And don't you all agree, "King Kong" was the best freakin' movie in 2005??!!?? But usually the horror today just leaves me laughing, not shuddering. My goal as a writer stepping to the visual storytelling will be to create smart, scary-as-hell movies. I want the audience to be afraid to move in the theaters, afraid something under the seats will rip their legs off, or the shadows in the aisles will come suffocate them. Yeah, sweet.
Dream dark....
